The PMDD Transformation Journey is my signature 12-week program that blends naturopathy, holistic nutrition, hormonal balancing, nervous system repair, and trauma-informed emotional care. It’s designed to get to the root of PMDD, not just manage it.

This isn’t a one-size-fits-all protocol; it’s a guided process of deep restoration where you're fully supported—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Whether you’ve just discovered PMDD or feel like you’ve tried everything, this journey offers a new way forward.

What Causes PMDD?

Why I Do This Work

My name’s Camilla Brinkworth. I’m a degree-qualified naturopath, trauma-informed emotional healing practitioner, and—like many of the women I work with—a survivor of PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder).

I built this work because I lived it. And I refused to believe that the only answer was to suppress, numb, or “cope” with a condition that was clearly calling for something deeper.

The work began with me, alone in my kitchen in Australia, holding a plant-based smoothie in one hand and sobbing into my tea with the other, wondering how I could know so much about natural health and still feel this broken.

Today, I support women worldwide suffering from PMDD using a root-cause approach that weaves together naturopathy, nutrition, nervous system regulation and deep trauma-informed emotional processing work for whole-body support.

In case you were wondering..

  • PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder) is more than just a “bad period” or mood swings. It’s a hormone-related condition where emotional and physical symptoms like rage, anxiety, sadness, and exhaustion become intense and disruptive in the two weeks before your period. While PMS might feel annoying, PMDD can feel completely unmanageable — and often lifts like a switch once bleeding starts.

  • Yes — and for many women, natural support is not only possible but life-changing. Through naturopathic care, nutrition, targeted supplements, and trauma-informed emotional work, we support your body to regulate hormones, calm the nervous system, and address the deeper roots of PMDD — without numbing your cycle or suppressing symptoms with medication.

  • PMDD isn’t caused by having “too much” or “too little” of a hormone — it’s about how your brain responds to normal hormonal changes, especially after ovulation. The drop in estrogen and the rise and fall of progesterone can trigger a cascade of mood symptoms in sensitive individuals. The good news? We can work with your biology, not against it.

  • Naturopathy looks at the whole picture — your hormones, nervous system, digestion, sleep, stress, and emotional health. Through in-depth consultation, testing (where needed), and personalised treatment plans, we focus on reducing inflammation, balancing hormones naturally, and supporting the root causes of your PMDD symptoms, not just covering them up.

  • Some of the most evidence-backed herbs and nutrients for PMDD include saffron for low mood, vitex for cycle regulation, magnesium for anxiety and sleep, and B6 for mood and hormonal metabolism. But there’s no one-size-fits-all. I’ll guide you toward exactly what’s right for your body, based on symptoms, history, and test results where needed.

  • A sensitive nervous system can make hormonal changes feel much more intense. Many women with PMDD have a history of trauma, or simply a very responsive stress system. When we include emotional healing tools like Family Constellations or Rapid Core Healing, we often see symptoms ease dramatically — not just physically, but emotionally too.

  • Absolutely. Food is information for your hormones, your mood, and your immune system. An anti-inflammatory, plant-rich diet can reduce the intensity of PMDD symptoms, especially when it supports blood sugar balance, gut health, and nutrient status. I work with you to make any changes realistic, nourishing, and aligned with your values.

  • Yes — this is one of my specialties. Whilst you certainly don’t have to be plant-based to work with me, or benefit, many of my clients are vegan or vegetarian and want support from someone who gets it. You don’t need to compromise your ethics to feel better. We’ll work with your lifestyle to make sure you’re getting everything you need, naturally.

  • Family Constellations is a therapeutic process that helps reveal hidden emotional dynamics in your family system — including inherited patterns that can affect your emotional and hormonal wellbeing. Many women with PMDD feel like they’re carrying something heavy that isn’t fully theirs — this work gently helps release that, and often brings a sense of relief that talk therapy alone hasn’t reached.

  • Expect to feel heard, supported, and gently guided. I take a truly integrative approach — combining naturopathic care, nervous system support, holistic nutrition, and deep emotional healing. Whether we’re looking at hormone test results, adjusting your nutrition, or doing a Family Constellation session, you’ll never be rushed or given a one-size-fits-all plan. It’s tailored, holistic care — with heart.

  • I’m a naturopath and trauma-informed facilitator who supports women with PMDD using natural medicine, nervous-system regulation, Rapid Core Healing, Family Constellations, Kundalini Meditation, Kundalini Yoga, and Yoga Nidra. I stay firmly within my scope and I’m clear about where my work begins and ends.

    What I do

    • Education and support: I teach practical tools that calm the body, steady mood, and support sleep, energy, and focus.

    • Natural therapies: I use nutrition, herbs, and supplements (when indicated), plus gentle mind–body methods that help the nervous system feel safe.

    • Trauma-informed facilitation: I guide structured sessions (RCH, Constellations, Yoga Nidra) designed to reduce charge without re-traumatising.

    • Collaboration: With your consent, I’m happy to coordinate with your GP, psychologist, or psychiatrist so care is joined-up.

    What I don’t do

    • No diagnosis of mental-health conditions.

    • No medication management, changes, or advice to stop prescribed treatment.

    • No crisis care. If you’re in acute distress (e.g., suicidal thoughts, recent self-harm, psychosis, unmanaged bipolar disorder), I’ll help you access urgent medical or psychological support and pause our work until you’re safe.

    Boundaries and safety

    • Screening before we start to make sure this is appropriate for you.

    • Informed consent in clear language—what we’re doing, why, and possible reactions.

    • Pacing that matches your nervous system; we go only as far as you can stay present.

    • Red-flag referrals when specialist mental-health care is needed.

    • Confidentiality and respectful record-keeping.
